- Our comprehension strategy is retell. Children could practise this strategy at home after they have read their home readers!
- We are learning about narrative texts in particular Fairy tales. This week however, we are still learning about the Biblical story - Zacchaeus.
- We continue working hard on our handwriting and pencil grips.
- New level home readers will be sent home this week. The books should not be challenging and are used as reinforcement.
Numeracy:
- Number patterns…counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s beginning at any number on the 200’s chart.

- Book Parade: Week 5 -Wednesday, 10th August 2016 at 9.00am in Siena Hall. Children are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite character.
- We visited the Life Education Van last week - please ask your children about the healthy lifestyle choices that were discussed!
