Hello from 2G- Week 6

Literacy:
  • Our comprehension strategy is Making connectionsl. Children could practise this strategy at home while they are reading their home readers!
  • We continue working hard on our handwriting and pencil grips.
  • This is the last week that Home Readers will be sent home. Please encourage your children to continue reading each night, even when nightly readers have ceased being sent home. 
Numeracy:
  • Number patterns…counting in 2’s, 3's, 5’s and 10’s beginning at any number on the 200’s chart.
  • Rainbow facts and doubles
  • Addition and Subtraction
Religion
  • Working for Justice and Peace by linking messages from scripture to Missions today.
Homework:  
  • Please note homework is now given out on Monday and is due back the following Monday.
  • Please encourage students to take pride in the presentation of their homework
Integrated Studies:

  • How are Dreamtime stories important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people?
Other messages:
  • Swimming has started...Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal has commenced. Please help this worthy cause by sending in non-perishable food items. Your generosity is always appreciated.
