- Our comprehension strategy is retell. Children could practise this strategy at home after they have read their home readers!
- We are learning about narrative texts in particular Fairy tales. This week however, we are learning about the Biblical story - Zacchaeus.
- We continue working hard on our handwriting and pencil grips.
- New level home readers are being sent home now. The books should not be challenging and are used as reinforcement.
Numeracy:
- Number patterns…counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s beginning at any number on the 200’s chart.
- Revise place value, repeated addition, number patterns, area and addition strategies
- Subtraction strategies
Religion
- Healing relationships through reconciliation
- Sacrament of Penance
Homework:
- Please note homework is now given out on Monday and is due back the following Monday
- Please encourage students to take pride in the presentation of their homework
