- Our comprehension strategy is summarising. Children could practise this strategy at home after they have read their home readers!
- We are learning about persuasive texts in particular fractured Fairy tales.
- We continue working hard on our handwriting and pencil grips.
- Home readers will continue being sent home this week. The books should not be challenging and are used as reinforcement.
Numeracy:
- Number patterns…counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s beginning at any number on the 200’s chart.
- Revise place value, repeated addition, number patterns, area, addition strategies and money
Religion
- Healing relationships through reconciliation
- Sacrament of Penance
Homework:
- Please note homework is now given out on Monday and is due back the following Monday
- Please encourage students to take pride in the presentation of their homework
Integrated Studies:
- How has transport changed through the ages?
- Under 8's Day: Week 5 - Tuesday, 9th August 2016 at 9.00am
- Book Parade: Week 5 -Wednesday, 10th August 2016 at 9.00am in Siena Hall. Children are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite character.
