Hello from 2Green...Week 8

Literacy:

• Our comprehension strategy is questioning. Children could practise this strategy at home after they have read their home readers!
• We have begun editing our own persuasive texts.
• We continue working hard on our handwriting and pencil grips.
• Home readers will be sent home this week. The books should not be challenging and are used as reinforcement.
  

Numeracy:

• Number patterns…counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s beginning at any number on the 200’s chart.
• Time: revision of o'clock and half past and introducing quarter past and quarter to.
• Tally marks and reading data

Religion

• Healing relationships through reconciliation
• Sacrament of Penance
  

Homework:  

• Please note homework is now given out on Monday and is due back the following Monday
• Please encourage students to take pride in the presentation of their homework
  

Integrated Studies:

• Where are the different continents and oceans in our world?
• Water conservation
